Brownies and Cub Scouts are invited to visit Humane Educational Society for a fun-filled evening to learn all about shelter animals and the work we do to find them forever homes. Scouts will make a cool cat toy or dog treat, learn the basics of caring for pets, learn the importance of kindness, and meet some furry friends! Included in your shelter experience is a resource guide with activity ideas to help you reach your goals for animals.

Play Wash Pint in Chattanooga, TN is a synthetic turfed dog park with a difference, humans can grab themselves a pint while they watch their dogs play. This pet-friendly park is perfect for pooches looking to socialize with other dogs and get some great exercise in the 11,000 square foot area. The park is split into three sections: a small dog yard with equipment and obstacles, a social mixer yard for all sizes of pup, and a fetch zone for dogs to chase balls unimpeded by slow moving dogs and equipment. Another great feature of this park is the self-service wash stations stocked with towels, shampoo, and even a doggy dryer. Don't forget, there are beers on draft for doggy parents to enjoy. Visitors must purchase a one time day pass or an annual membership. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations including Rabies, DHPP/DHLPPC, and Bordetella. Dog parents must provide documentation to Play Wash Pint in order to be granted a one-time pass or Play Wash Pint membership.

Leashed dogs are welcome to join their humans at the 23-acre Renaissance Park, located on the north shore of the Tennessee River. Park features include historic markers, picnic areas, and nature trails. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center is pet-friendly. This nonprofit arboretum, botanical garden, nature center and historical site is made up of 317-acres that includes 15 miles of trails, live animals indoor and outdoors, and a treehouse. Dogs must be leashed and well-behaved. Dog owners must clean up after them and make sure they don't harass the wildlife. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 3pm.

Oddstory Brewing Co. has been a downtown Chattanooga staple, when it first started serving the people in “Scenic City” their take on lagers, pale ales, stouts and more. Greenway Farm Dog Park is an expansive dog-friendly green space in Chattanooga, TN. Visitors will find a fully-fenced, partially shaded dog park with separate area for small and large dogs, a water fountain and benches. Outside of the fenced area, Fido can cool off in a nearby pond or accompany you along several scenic trails in the area.
